3 attorneys join Decker Jones;
construction and real estate law groups expanded
FORT WORTH -- Decker, Jones,
McMackin, McClane, Hall & Bates, P.C., has added three
attorneys to enhance the offerings of its Construction Practice
Group and its Real Estate and Lending Practice Group.
Matthew C. Motes, formerly of the Arlington construction law
boutique firm Bush & Motes, focuses his practice primarily
on construction litigation. Stephen L. Polozola, who practiced
construction law with Motes at their former firm, handles
both litigation and transactional matters. For Kelly Decker,
a real estate litigator and oil and gas counsel, it is a homecoming
of sorts. She is the granddaughter of the late Robert W. Decker,
a respected attorney and community leader whose name her new
firm bears.
“Today, Fort Worth is poised for great things. Development
continues to expand,” said Chuck Milliken, Decker Jones’
managing partner. “We are committed to the success of
clients involved in that arena, the lenders, developers and
contractors. This is simply an extension of that commitment.”
Motes and Polozola have joined the Construction Practice Group,
which is directed by Brad Rice. “With this move, we
add even broader experience and a heightened response capacity,”
Rice said. “It is a great fit.”
Decker joins the Real Estate and Lending Practice Group that
is headed by Gary Moates, a veteran real estate attorney and
former member of the Fort Worth Zoning Commission.
Motes’ practice areas include litigation and arbitration
of commercial and residential construction law matters, commercial
litigation, title insurance defense and church law. Polozola’s
practice is focused on residential and commercial construction
litigation defense, real estate, entity formation, mechanic’s
liens/surety bonds and business tort law.
Before following in her grandfather’s footsteps, Decker
practiced general civil litigation, oil and gas and probate
law at Brown, Pruitt, Peterson & Wambsganss in Fort Worth,
where much of her time was spent representing real estate
developers.
Decker, Jones, McMackin,
McClane, Hall & Bates, P.C. has provided sound legal advice
and counsel to Texans and their businesses since 1896. The
firm has throughout its history remained at the forefront
of business law practice, and most recently has enjoyed considerable
recognition in the fields of Litigation and Intellectual Property
Law. To learn more about Decker, Jones, McMackin, McClane,
