BIO

Elisa Fox is a Construction, Real Estate and Banking attorney that has represented clients in numerous commercial, residential, industrial, multi-family and senior living development projects.  Elisa works with her clients in all stages of the development project, including structuring debt financing for land acquisition & construction costs; developing entity structures and joint venture arrangements; drafting and negotiating development & contractor agreements; assisting with liens, insurance & bonding; closing out construction & transitioning the project to permanent financing; and representing clients in litigation matters arising out of the development & construction of the project.  Ms. Fox also assists clients with corporate matters including entity formation, business acquisition, and sales and leasing agreements.  Elisa has successfully represented lenders, borrowers, developers, home-builders, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals and project owners.

Elisa’s family is deeply rooted in construction and has been involved with development in Dallas-Fort Worth and surrounding areas for almost a century.  Elisa began her work in construction and development at an early age, while working in her family’s businesses.  She not only learned about the industry, she gained invaluable, first-hand knowledge of the concerns small to mid-size businesses face.  This business and industry exposure had a tremendous influence on Elisa’s career development, leading her to make strategic career moves over the years and gain a very unique and well-rounded skill set.  Elisa worked as a banker, owned her own law practice and title company, served as General Counsel for a large contracting firm, and has served as outside counsel for a number of clients handling a variety of transactional and litigation matters.  Today, Elisa is a trusted advisor for her clients, not only in construction projects and lending transactions, but also in corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, business compliance and regulatory issues, and operational concerns. Elisa is passionate about her work and proudly continues her family’s legacy, in business and in development, as an attorney for Decker Jones.
