A heart for service to others, Janet Hahn strives to make each of her clients feel that they are important and worthy of efficient and quality legal work. No stranger to hard work, Janet is the type of person who literally pulled herself up by her own bootstraps. She actually began working at the firm as a legal secretary in the 1980’s. While working as a legal secretary, she attended night school so she could earn a degree and become a paralegal at the firm. After working as a paralegal and after attending school at night to obtain her undergraduate degree, she earned her law degree from Baylor Law School. Now a shareholder attorney at the firm, Janet fully appreciates the opportunity she has been given to serve others with her legal expertise.

A people person, Janet enjoys putting her clients at ease as she walks them through the probate process or counsels them in making wise estate planning decisions. Janet’s expertise also focuses on the transactions and ongoing operations of business enterprises. From entity formation to complex mergers and acquisitions, Janet and the Decker Jones team serve business enterprises and their owners, directors and managers. Janet’s services to her business clients include counsel regarding employee issues, including the preparation of severance agreements and confidentiality and non-compete agreements.

Janet’s desire to serve others extends beyond the office where she has served on numerous charitable and civic committees and boards such as the The Women’s Center of Tarrant County and the Tarrant County College Foundation. Janet’s passion is also teaching young children at her church Sunday School and in Bible Study Fellowship. She has life in perspective.
