  • Ms. Hahn represents clients with the creation of Trusts, Wills, and Powers of Attorney.  She also represents clients in estate administration and probate matters.

     

Business & Corporate
  • Ms. Hahn advises clients in entity selection and formation, buy-sell agreements, and contract drafting and review, including independent contractor agreements.

Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Ms. Hahn represents sellers and buyers in mergers and acquisitions, including asset acquisitions and stock acquisitions.

BIO

Janet L. Hahn’s clients describe her as passionate, loyal, and results-driven.  With a heart for service to others, Ms. Hahn strives to make each of her clients feel that they are important and worthy of efficient and quality legal work.

A person who literally pulled herself up by her own bootstraps, Ms. Hahn actually began working at Decker Jones as a legal secretary in the 1980’s. She attended night school during that time to earn a paralegal degree and to become the firm’s first paralegal. After working as a paralegal and attending night school to obtain her undergraduate degree, all while working full time at Decker Jones, Ms. Hahn earned her law degree from Baylor Law School.  Now a shareholder, Ms. Hahn fully appreciates the opportunity she has earned to serve others with legal expertise.

A people person, Ms. Hahn enjoys putting her clients at ease as she walks them through the probate process or counsels them in making wise estate planning decisions. Ms. Hahn also focuses on the transactions and ongoing operations of business enterprises. From entity formation to complex mergers and acquisitions, Ms. Hahn and the Decker Jones team serve business enterprises and their owners, directors and managers. Her services involve counsel to businesses regarding employee issues, including the preparation of severance agreements and confidentiality and non-compete agreements.

Ms. Hahn is committed to her community.  She has served on numerous charitable and civic committees and boards such as The Women’s Center of Tarrant County, the Tarrant County College Foundation, and Baylor Scott and White All Saints Medical Center.  Ms. Hahn’s passion is also teaching young children at her church Sunday School and in Bible Study Fellowship. She has life in perspective.
