Randy is the Chairman of the Decker Jones litigation section. He is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial law, Civil Trial Law and Civil Appellate Law. He is a certified civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and a Certified Civil Pre-Trial Practice Advocate by the National Board of Civil Pre-Trial Advocacy. He has tried over 150 cases to a verdict and knows, through his 38 years of experience, how to go to bat for his clients in the courthouse. Randy has been called upon to represent the interests of professionals such as physicians, lawyers, architects and engineers, and is on the approved list of counsel for many of the major liability insurance carriers in this country. He is often sought by major corporations to provide the defense of both personal injury and business litigation. Although Randy’s role is primarily that of a trial advocate, in every case he handles for his clients, he also considers all other means and methods to a successful conclusion of the litigation. These include mediation, arbitration and informal negotiations if it serves the best interest of his clients and produces a satisfactory conclusion in a manner not only consistent with the client’s needs but also the client’s financial resources.
Randy is considered one of the premier trial attorneys in the state. For the past ten years, his peers and the judiciary have elected him as a “Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters as featured in Texas Monthly Magazine. For the past five years, Randy has been recognized as one of the “Top 100 Lawyers” by Thomson Rueters in both the State of Texas and in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For the past twelve years, Randy has been elected by his peers in Tarrant County as the “Top Medical Malpractice Defense Lawyer” by Fort Worth, Texas magazine. The Fort Worth Business Press has selected Randy as an “Attorney of Excellence” numerous times and in 2013 designated him a “Power Attorney”. He has been selected and listed as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” by Woodward White, Inc. He has also been elected for inclusion in the “Who’s Who in American Law” by Marquis for the last fifteen years. Randy is married to the former Gloria Pine and the two of them have raised four sons. He serves on numerous charitable and civil boards and committees. Randy is a Fort Worth native and enjoys serving in organizations that better his hometown. Randy’s faith is essential to both his personal and professional life, and he has served his home church in various capacities. He is also active in the leadership of the Fort Worth Men’s Class of Bible Study Fellowship, International.
