Earns Master of Laws in Taxation

FORT WORTH, TX. –Adam Fulkerson, an Associate with Decker, Jones, McMackin, McClane, Hall & Bates, has earned his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. This prestigious credential deepens Decker Jones’ tax bench and expands the services offered by the firm’s tax practice group.

A substantial part of Fulkerson’s practice focuses on tax planning and the taxation of businesses, business owners and investors, with a particular emphasis on the taxation of pass-through entities. A significant portion of Adam’s practice also focuses on structuring, negotiating, and drafting partnership, limited liability company and shareholder agreements, as well as counseling clients on choice of entity issues, corporate reorganizations, like-kind exchanges, deferred compensation arrangements, and the formation, acquisition, disposition and liquidation of business entities. In addition to representing for-profit business entities, he also counsels tax-exempt organizations.

Fulkerson received his Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington and his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law. He also was part of the 2012 Class of Leading Edge, a program of Leadership Fort Worth. He is a member of the Fort Worth-Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association and the Tarrant County Bar Association.
